An important aspect when choosing to study in the United States is the possibility of obtaining scholarships or financial aid. The United States is the destination that offers the greatest amount of financial aid to national and international students<\/strong>. There are several types of aid ranging from merit-based scholarships, need-blind & need-based scholarships or athletic scholarships (see NCAA<\/a> and NAIA<\/a>)<\/span><\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n

The cost of studying an US University for an international student is very broad and ranges from 8,000 USD<\/strong> per year (tuition fees) to 70,000 USD<\/strong> per year. The cost depends mainly on the type of university (public or private) and its ranking. The cheapest institutions are the Community Colleges<\/a> which allow you to study for the first two years and transfer the third year to finish your degree at a university of your choice. The most expensive universities are the so-called TOP universities or those belonging to the IVY League. These universities are private and offer a very elite education.<\/span><\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n

But in between the Community Colleges and the TOP universities, there is a wide variety of universities and colleges (public and private) that offer a very high quality education at a more affordable price.
